Procurement Clerk
Fulltime, Permanent

ROLE PURPOSE

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Clerk is responsible for ordering products to fulfill customer orders and stock requirements. This includes issuing purchase orders, following up with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of pricing. This role supports efficient procurement operations and contributes to CB’s ability to meet customer needs reliably and on time.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Review of the purchasing report to identify required stock or customer orders
- Determine if purchase orders can be placed based on inventory and demand
- Create and issue purchase orders to vendors
- Confirm purchase order receipt with suppliers
- Update delivery timelines and pricing based on supplier confirmations
- Track and follow up on outstanding purchase orders past expected delivery dates
- Collaborate with other team members to resolve procurement issues as they arise
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR TEAM:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- High school diploma required, some post-secondary education an asset
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus, but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills to ensure accurate documentation and vendor follow-up
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up on outstanding issues
