Senior Financial Accountant (Hybrid)

Fulltime, Permanent

ROLE PURPOSE

Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and complete financial information to support decision-making across the organization. This role plays a key part in driving profitability, managing vendor and customer rebate processes, and supporting transformation initiatives that align with CB’s vision.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Prepare and analyze multiple profitability reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Take full ownership of the Finance portion of the Vendor Rebate Process (PPRs, PGRs, and Corporate Rebates).
  • Oversee all accounting entries and reconciliations related to inventory.
  • Manage the customer’s rebate payable process from end to end.
  • Maintain Fixed Assets and leasehold commitments from a financial standpoint.
  • Deliver training sessions to field employees on profitability reports and financial analysis tools.
  • Serve as a Business Intelligence (BI) super-user.
  • Act as the Finance lead on business project teams, ensuring accounting controls are maintained.
  • Book month-end journal entries in accordance with deadlines.
  • Conduct regular reviews of financials to ensure accuracy and integrity; investigate and explain variances.
  • Support year-end audit preparation and quarterly bank audit processes.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR TEAM:

  • 3–5 years of progressive finance and accounting experience
  • CPA designation or in the final stages of completion
  • University degree in Accounting or Business Studies
  • Knowledge of ASPE preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Business Intelligence (BI) tools experience
  • Experience managing large datasets and deriving key insights
  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and listening skills
  • Self-motivated with strong prioritization and time management skills
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Effective problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and pattern recognition
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments and able to work under time pressure
  • Willingness to commit the time and effort required to meet deliverables
