Senior Financial Accountant (Hybrid)

ROLE PURPOSE

Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and complete financial information to support decision-making across the organization. This role plays a key part in driving profitability, managing vendor and customer rebate processes, and supporting transformation initiatives that align with CB’s vision.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Prepare and analyze multiple profitability reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Take full ownership of the Finance portion of the Vendor Rebate Process (PPRs, PGRs, and Corporate Rebates).
- Oversee all accounting entries and reconciliations related to inventory.
- Manage the customer’s rebate payable process from end to end.
- Maintain Fixed Assets and leasehold commitments from a financial standpoint.
- Deliver training sessions to field employees on profitability reports and financial analysis tools.
- Serve as a Business Intelligence (BI) super-user.
- Act as the Finance lead on business project teams, ensuring accounting controls are maintained.
- Book month-end journal entries in accordance with deadlines.
- Conduct regular reviews of financials to ensure accuracy and integrity; investigate and explain variances.
- Support year-end audit preparation and quarterly bank audit processes.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR TEAM:
- 3–5 years of progressive finance and accounting experience
- CPA designation or in the final stages of completion
- University degree in Accounting or Business Studies
- Knowledge of ASPE preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Business Intelligence (BI) tools experience
- Experience managing large datasets and deriving key insights
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and listening skills
- Self-motivated with strong prioritization and time management skills
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Effective problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and pattern recognition
- Comfortable in fast-paced environments and able to work under time pressure
- Willingness to commit the time and effort required to meet deliverables
